Rising star in the high-fashion world, Charli Missouri (@charli.london) brings a unique blend of confidence, elegance, and authenticity to every runway and photoshoot she models. With a deep passion for fashion and an unwavering commitment to her craft, Charli has already made waves in the industry, from her breakout moment at LA Fashion Week to her dreams of collaborating with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton.

In this exclusive Q&A, she opens up about her journey, the lessons she’s learned, and where she sees herself in the next chapter of her career.
From the first moment you stepped into the modeling world, what has been the biggest surprise or lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’d say my biggest surprise upon entering the modeling industry was how kind the other models and photographers were. Going into this field, I expected everyone to be very focused on their career (which we all are) but modeling is more than just representing a brand. It’s about building community and networking while creating long lasting relationships along the way!
What was your “breakout moment” in the industry? That one shoot or campaign that made you feel like, "Okay, this is real!
I would say LA Fashion Week 2024 in Santa Monica, CA was my personal breakout moment! Ever since I was a little girl, I had fantasized about living in LA and pursuing my career in the entertainment industry. The moment I walked the streets of Beverly Hills I told myself, “Yeah, this is it for me.” I instantly knew I wanted to feel that rush of excitement long-term and to participate in this career for the rest of my life.
Every model has their dream project or collaboration. If you could book one shoot with any designer, photographer, or brand, who would it be and why?
I would absolutely LOVE to have a brand deal and be the face of a well-known luxury brand, particularly Louis Vuitton. I have always loved how chic and classic their designs are from their fancy purses to their luxurious gowns that many celebrities wear on the red carpet. I could totally see myself modeling for them one day :)
Models often talk about balancing their career with personal growth. How do you stay grounded in such a fast-paced and competitive industry?
My faith has always been my safe zone when it comes to the modeling industry. Not only does it encourage me, but it keeps me grounded as far as what I will tolerate and what I won’t. I am a Christian and firm believer that Jesus is the center of all things, including my career path. By placing Him in the forefront of my career, I know there is no opportunity created for me that I could possibly miss out on. With this mindset I also comfortably deal with rejection from auditions and celebrating others successes.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What are some of the big goals you’re working toward, both within and outside the fashion world?
In the next five years, I would like to be more established in my career and build more relationships within the fashion industry. I am planning on attending law school and becoming a lawyer practicing part-time in order to still participate in modeling. I would eventually love to have my own fashion line, start a non-profit, be the face of a major campaign, move away from Pittsburgh, and much more!
What has been your most memorable or fun photoshoot so far, and what made it stand out to you?
My rebranding photoshoot from 2024! I had the chance to shoot my rebrand with one of my good friends and favorite photographers in the Pittsburgh area, Nadia Jones! Nadia and I had been planning my rebrand for months and were so eager to get in the studio and create. We ended up shooting the rebrand in the Spring of 2024 and had such a blast bringing our visions to life!
If you could describe your ideal shoot location, what would it look like? Is there a specific place or vibe you’d love to experience?
Anywhere vintage, simplest, and artsy! I love a clean and simple aesthetic, however I also love very intense and high-fashion photoshoots.
Fashion isn’t just about clothes; it’s also about the energy you bring to a shoot. How do you prepare mentally and physically to give your best performance?
The first thing I do whenever prepping for a shoot or runway show is pray for peace of mind and clarity on the task at hand. I try to cleanse my spirit as much as possible whether that’s deleting social media until a project is over, eating healthy, or getting plenty of rest. The key to giving my best performance is seeking peace and getting tons of rest.
You’ve worked with some incredible photographers and stylists. Is there a specific piece of advice or feedback you’ve received that has stuck with you?
In May 2021, I had the honor to be coached on how to walk the runway by the renowned supermodel Lu Sierra. Lu has coached hundreds of girls, including Kendall Jenner, on how to rock the runway.
The best piece of advice she gave me was to always go for the coat whenever walking the runway. Many models will often stay away from it because it can be very difficult to take off, however Lu taught me a special trick on how to utilize the coat to set myself aside and I will never forget it!

Fashion trends come and go, but style is timeless. How would you describe your personal style, and how does it influence the way you approach modeling?
I’d like to classify my style as very androgynous because I tend to pull a lot of influence from the 90s and early 2000s era and it’s hip-hop chic. My daily fits consist of thrifted pieces and often streetwear. I also love classy and elegant pieces from all eras. Some of my favorite fashion icons are Princess Diana, Gia Carangi, TLC, Janet Jackson, and Zendaya.

Charli's journey is only just beginning, but her vision and determination make it clear that she’s destined for greatness—both on and off the runway.
With plans to expand her career, explore law school, and even launch her own fashion line, she’s a true example of ambition and versatility. As she continues to carve out her place in the fashion industry, one thing is certain: her impact will be just as bold and timeless as the styles she embodies. Keep an eye on Charli —it's a name you won’t forget.
